Professor Laurajane Smith, Centre for Heritage and Museum Studies, has been appointed as one of the first 10 ‘Fellow-Ambassadors’ to the CNRS, France. She is the first such appointment from the social sciences/humanities. The three-year Fellowship aims to build links between the CNRS and the ANU, and Laurajane will be working with the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (INSHS) of the CNRS to develop research projects addressing the politics of heritage and memory.
