ICCR PhD candidate wins 3MT Competition College Final 2022

College of Arts & Social Sciences 3 Minute Thesis Competition Winner 2022, Junmin Liu

Tuesday 23 August 2022

ICCR PhD candidate Junmin Liu has won First prize in the College of Arts and Social Sciences 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition.

The 3MT is an international competition for research students to showcase their research. Students share what their research is and why it is important in plain language for three minutes, with only a single PowerPoint slide.

Junmin will now go on to represent CASS in the ANU wide competition on Thursday 1 September, 2022 at 6pm.

On the night, the finalists will compete for the ANU 3MT 2022 crown, $4,000 in prize money and a place in the 3MT Asia-Pacific grand final. The audience can vote in the People's Choice award with the audience favourite taking home a $1,000 cash prize.

You can still register to attend the ANU 3 Minute Thesis finals at Llewelyn Hall on campus here.

If you cannot make it, log in to ANU TV to watch the live stream starting at 6pm!

We wish Junmin all the best!
